Our water stop skills were definitely tested last Saturday when BPT volunteered at Bull City Running’s road race in Durham, Running of the Bulls 8k. With over 700 runners, it was a busy day indeed!
We all had a great time and highly recommend this race through Downtown Durham!

Congratulations to Balanced Movement Studio’s personal trainers Amy Vitt and Andy Greene for achieving their certification as a Certified Exercise Specialist (CES)!
The CES certification is provided by the National Academy of Sports Medicine, recognizing a professional’s expanded knowledge in human movement science, injury prevention, and recovery expertise.

BPT volunteered at the Philosopher’s Way Trail Runs, a 7k and 15k trail race on May 8th in Chapel Hill put on by the Trailheads running club.
Our water stop was quite a hit — we had sponge baths to cool off the hot runners.

We handed out water to thirsty runners at the Mile 4 water stop, and we provided foam rollers, stretching, and consultations from our physical therapists at the finish line.

Balanced Physical Therapy was a proud sponsor for the 2010 Little River Trail Runs put on by the local running club, the TrailHeads. The race took place January at Little River Regional Park in Durham.
The event raised $5,000 for the park, to contribute to maintaining the trails, forest, and river.
